Summertime in England

Last Saturday we had a break from the rain, and it was just long enough for us to join the throngs of people at a nearby village Fun Fair. Bouncy castles, cotton candy, face painting... The kids were beside themselves!

In spite of my on-again/off-again/on-again/off-again cardigan that day and the fact that we've had to turn the heat back on several times since turning it off sometime in May, not to mention that school is in session for a few more weeks yet, it's starting to feel a bit like summertime.

Hi...can't remember if I have commented on your blog before...my sister, Letha, gave me your blog when you first started putting Saca's updates on here. Thanks so much for doing that by the way!

I was just catching up and read what you wrote about parenting a while back, June sometime. I'd love to hear more specifics, or more generalizations for that matter. The experience you have described mirrors how I have felt. Babies...bring 'um on! Toddlers, fun! Then yikes, what happens, everything seems to get way more complicated! I have also read blogs about parenting but often find they fall more legalistic and just not "me". David and I have two boys so far, a 6 year old and a 4 year old. It IS a lot of fun, but as much as I am teaching them God is using this to show me how "childlike" I am so often!

Sorry...this is getting long now. I also read about your love for south asians. We live in India! I have some pics and misc on a blog at dkdelaughter.blogspot.com
